Kenya's Geoffrey Kamworor wins Gold in Guiyang China

Geoffrey Kamworor is the 2015 IAAF world cross country champion. Kamworor won Kenya’s second gold medal in the men’s senior category followed by his fellow counterpart Bedan Karoki who settled for silver while Ethiopian Muktar Edris finished third.

Earlier Agnes Tirop won Kenya’s first gold medal in the women’s senior race. The men’s junior team won the team’s title despite losing gold to Ethiopian Yasin Haji. Geoffrey Korir who led for the better part of the race finished second while Alfred Ngeno and Doinic Kiptarus finished third and fourth respectively.
