Sunday will see AFC Leopards host Gor Mahia at the Nyayo National Stadium in what will be the weekend's most anticipated tie of the Kenyan Premier League.

The match is going to be the league 77th meeting between the two sides and fans are hoping for another entertaining match after their previous encounter ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw.

Radio Jambo's Bramwell Mwololo is one of few players to have played for both played for both Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards and for the presenter, the 51st league meeting which was played at the Nairobi City Stadium is his most memorable from his playing days.

Gor Mahia defeated their hosts AFC Leopards 1-0 with a goal that came in the last minute of the match courtesy of the late Steve Okumu, brother to Dennis Oliech.

After the Radio Jambo Breakfast Show, radiojambo.co.ke caught with the presenter and the following is what he had to say of that epic encounter.

I remember we played the match on Kenyatta Day of 1997 and it was quite tightly contested. We were still deadlocked till the last minute of the game when our goalkeeper launched a massive ball up front which I ran onto, outjumped Tom Juma and headed it down for the Late Steve Okumu to pounce and score sending the thousands of Gor Mahia fans at the stadium into a frenzy.

Defeat was to hard to swallow for heartbroken AFC Leopards who after the match were baying for the blood of Tom Juma. They wanted to beat him up for, according to them, betraying the team because being Luo, he was bound to have a soft spot for Gor Mahia.

The fan accused him of heading the ball down for Okumu to score and Tom Juma had a really hard time explaining to them that it was me and not him who had headed the ball down. Tom Juma even called me to plead his case against the angry Ingwe fans and tell that it was me who headed down the ball. Even though it took a while, Tom Juma was able to leave the pitch in peace after I convinced the Leopards faithful that it was I who had headed down the ball.
