American sports site Friday reported that convicted Mexican drug lord Joaquin Guzman popularly known as 'El Chapo' reportedly wanted to buy English premier league champions Chelsea.
The site further writes that it is believed prior to El Chapo's capture last week, the drug lord who is believed to be worth $1billion was really looking to buy the Roman Abramovich owned West London outfit.
The news however will come as a joke to many who would question Abramovich's intention to sell the 5-time English champions a club he holds dear to a notorious drug Baron.
With El Chapo currently locked up at Altiplano prison in Mexico, Chelsea fans would be at least rest assured such a deal will can only be just but a weird fantasy.
