The jilted wife of Manchester United star Anthony Martial has branded his new lover ‘disgusting’ after the footballer ended weeks of speculation by confirming their relationship across social media.
Anthony Joran Martial is a French professional footballer who plays as a forward for English club Manchester United and the France national team. He was the recipient of the 2015 Golden Boy Award for the best under-21 player in Europe.
Samantha Jacquelinet, who has a daughter with Martial, lashed out at reality TV star Melanie Da Cruz, claiming she intentionally targeted the footballer – a £58million purchase for United in 2015 – despite knowing he was not single.
She told : ‘I asked her to stay away from him when we were having some problems and she agreed that she would. But she wasn’t true to her word. She claims it’s not just about sex with them – it’s love.
He told the club's official website at the time: 'I am so excited to be joining Manchester United.
'I have enjoyed my time at AS Monaco and I would like to thank them and the fans for everything they have done for me.
'I have always wanted to play in the Premier League and to join the biggest club in the world is what every young footballer dreams of.
'I am looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and working with (former manager) Louis van Gaal who has achieved so much in his career.'
