Nakuru Commercial sex workers have expressed their concern over an emergence of killings by unknown individuals targeted at them.

Under their umbrella body ‘Smart Ladies in Nakuru County’ the workers noted that already three women had been killed in Nakuru town and Naivasha in the last two months.

On Thursday, a middle aged commercial sex worker was found dead in a lodging in Naivasha town after a night out with a customer.

According to the group leader Faith Omari, in all the three cases the assailant had sexually abused the victims before killing them.

Omari said that in the Naivasha case the victim was not ailing as alleged adding that she could have been murdered after offering her services.

“In the room there were several used condoms and we suspect that they could have been two men involved in this murder,” she said.

She further challenged hotels to mount CCTV systems in their receptions adding that this could help police in their investigations.

“In the current case the lodging is in bad condition, the rooms are dirty and there are no CCTV systems making it hard for police to investigate this case,” she said.
