Bournemouth have completed the signing of Jermain Defoe on a three-year contract.
The 34-year-old striker leaves relegated Sunderland to return to the club where he spent a season on loan from West Ham 16 years ago.
Defoe's deal at the Vitality Stadium is expected to net the England international £20million - accumulated through his wages over the three-year period as well as a significant signing-on fee.
His form earned him a recall to the England squad and he scored in a 2-0 win over Lithuania in March.
The forward has happy memories of the south coast after scoring in 10 consecutive league matches while on loan as an 18-year-old.
