Bahati member of parliament Kimani Ngunjiri has issued a stern warning to Kiambu Governor, Ferdinand Waititu for what he claims was a threat to his life.

His sentiments comes just a day after Mt. Kenya leaders led by former presidential candidates, Martha Karua and Peter Kenneth and Waititu demanded respect for President Kenyatta and cautioned Ruto’s sympathisers from the region fond of attacking the President over alleged marginalisation in the area.

On his part, Waititu claimed, “People are struggling to make their names by attacking the President. Very soon they are going to regret and that is why you have seen some have started apologising.”

Speaking on Radio Jambo's Gidi na Ghost Asubuhi show on Thursday morning, Ngunjiri did not take those words lightly telling him that his time to go to heaven is ripe and that if there is a plan to finish him then he is ready.

"Umeskia Waititu kenye amesema, amesema wale watu ambao hawaungi ile maono ya president ya mambo ambayo yanaendela tutaona. Waititu hakuna kitu tutaona. Miaka yetu ya kwenda mbinguni imefika kama kuna mpangilio ya kumaliza sisi we are ready. Lakini you cannot threaten people in that manner." He said.

Ngunjiri went on to condemn Waititu's threats reminding him that if anything happens to him then he will be answerable to it all.

Kila mtu ana haki ya opinion yake. Hiyo ni matamshi ya Waititu matamshi mbaya zaidi kwa Wakenya kusema mtaona, then if anything will happen to me Waititu will answer and I can put it in record he has said it. Nikipata mambo fulani then he can answer because he has put it very clearly, tutaona.

Adding: Kwa hivyo, watu ambao hawana the same opinion ile mambo yataweza kututokea hata yakuweza kushikwa ovyo ovyo kwa mambo fulani, kuwekelewa mambo fulani, wananchi wajue already it is set by kuongozwa na Waititu, that we are going to be in problem. That one we are ready for it!

On Tuesday, Ngunjiri launched the 'mshenzi' (fool) movement in reaction to President Uhuru Kenyatta's utterances on Monday.

Ngunjiri walked from Railways grounds to the CBD in Nakuru town donned in a white T-Shirt printed 'TeamWashenzi' accompanied by his supporters.

He went on to ask Uhuru not to give room for engagement with ODM party leader to Raila Odinga.

The vocal MP said the mshenzi movement is aimed at putting pressure on Uhuru to work with Ruto politically ahead of the 2022 General Election.
