Photo Of The Day: Rashid Echesa officially hands over to Amina Mohamed

On Friday morning, Sports cabinet secretary Rashid Echesa was sacked and replaced by Amina Mohammed who headed the education ministry in new cabinet reshuffles.

President Kenyatta also nominated Kenya national education council boss, George Magoha as the new education cabinet secretary.

Echesa's sacking drew a lot of conversation with the CS himself demanding to know the reason why he was sacked.

Addressing the firing while in his home, Echesa said.

Yale yamefanyika ata mimi niliona kwa TV. I’m also waiting to be told and be given reasons why I was fired 

The President appointed me and he had his own reasons why he appointed me. Today he has told me to step aside, he has reasons for telling me to step aside,ans that is not the end of the line.. 

Si mimi nilikuwa naishi hapa na nyinyi..mimi nimezaliwa hapa nyumbani? yea so there is nothing to worry about.

On Tuesday morning the embattled Echesa officially handed over the ministry of sports to Amina Mohammed.
