INDIA: Footballer dies from injury sustained while celebrating a goal

A footballer in India has succumbed to injuries sustained while celebrating a goal he scored in a match that was played six days ago.

Peter Biaksangzuala injured his spinal cord while performing two frontflips after equalizing for Bethlehem Vengthlang FC in a match against Chanmari West. The player was immediately rushed to hospital as his team went to lose the match 3-2. Chanmari had opened the scoring in the 49th minute before Biaksanzuala equalized for Vengthlang in the 62nd minute. The midfielder then proceeded to do two frontflip and fell on his head and the second somersault.

It is said that the 23-year old donated his eyes during his time in hospital.
