Cabinet secretaries who had stepped aside following corruption allegations have been sacked.
In the new cabinet reshuffle, President Uhuru Kenyatta nominated Mwangi Kiunjuri, Dan Kazungu, Charles Keter, Cleophas Mailu, Willy Bett, Sicily Kariuki and Joe Mucheru as CS' for devolution, mining, energy, health, agriculture, public service and youth and ICT respectively.
The cabinet reshuffle saw the ministries increase from 19 to 20.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has also increased the number of state departments from 26 to 41, consequently increasing the number of permanent secretaries, as they'll be the new heads.
Kenyatta says this will help increase efficiency in service delivery in the government.
