Drive presenters, Mbusii deh and Lion have once again reiterated their call to have marijuana legalized in the country.

The duo's calls comes just days after Zimbabwe and South Africa legalized the marijuana commonly referred to as 'The herb'.

While South Africa legalized weed for private use and also legalized the growing of the plant itself for private consumption, Zimbabwe legalized its growth so that it is used for medicinal and research purposes in the country.

Speaking to comedian, Chipukeezy on Ebru TV,
Kitu ikuwe Legal, Mbusii said before Lion deh interjected in support of his colleague. Marijuana ni mmea kama mimea ingine, yule mwenye aliifanya illegal ndio tunataka kujua kwanza atupatie reason kwaninini aliimake illegal.

Hii mmea husaidia kweli? Chipukeezy asked.

Huu mmea inakusaidia wewe mwenye unaitumia vile unajua ukiitumia bora usi abuse.

Answered Mbusii and Lion, adding that Kenyans are no different from Holland, Jamaica and South Africa urging the government to make that decision and legalize marijuana.

In late September, Kibra MP Kenneth Okoth announced plans to introduce a Marijuana Control Bill, 2018 with a view to decriminalising the growth and use of bhang.

He revealed this in a letter to National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi.

The lawmaker said amnesty measures should be instituted for the removal of criminal records against citizens with prior convictions of marijuana use.

“There is a regulation for growth and safe use of marijuana and hemp, including the registration of growers, producers, and manufacturers.”

“….and users with special focus on protection of children minors from illicit use just as we do with tobacco and alcohol,” Okoth said.

The presenters also shared their separate journeys from humble beginnings to stardom art Radio Jambo as well as what keeps them humbled despite being at the top.
