We believe that the fact that we are just three days in to a new month could be the reason behind why Yusuf Juma decided to inform Gidi and Ghost as well as Radio Jambo listeners that "kiini tete" is the Swahili word for embryo.
Before that, Yusuf had Gidi and Ghost roaring with laughter when he responded to a question by a Radio Jambo listener. The listener wanted to know the Swahili word for "fashion show" and as if anticipating that question, Yusuf fired back immediately by responding, "hafla ya ulimbwende".
After a few minutes of trying to get the spelling and pronunciation of that word right and amidst some laughter at that, Gidi quiped, "Why is it that something beautiful and elegant like a fashion show gets a name like "ulimwende"? I mean if you ask "ulimwende" sounds like a meeting of witchdoctors."
