Anti riot police who had earlier been spotted at Uhuru Park have withdrawn.

This was after they were told to leave the park for NASA youths who were streaming in. No much activities going on at the park other than youths streaming in.

Police had caused tension in the city when they declared they would stop the ceremony aimed at swearing in Nasa leaders Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as People’s president and deputy president.

The youths who are at Uhuru Park have burnt and disposed bees that had been abandoned behind the main dais by men who were masked.

More youths are streaming into the park in large numbers.

Meanwhile, police briefly detained buses that were headed for Nairobi in Voi before releasing them. The officers claimed most of those on board did not have identification documents.

It is not clear why police demanded identification documents from travelers. Some of the buses are still in Voi while some managed to travel.
