Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia have completed the signing of Kenya international Enock Obiero Agwanda from Sofapaka.
The 22-year-old striker penned the deal this week for an undisclosed fee that will keep him at K’Ogalo until June 30, 2017.
“I have wanted to play for this cub for a long time now and it feels good to finally be part of the most successful club in the country. I haven’t been at my best this season, but once I settle down I believe that I will deliver on my goal scoring duties,” Agwanda told kpl.co.ke.
Gor Secretary General Ronald Ngala said the management had progressive talks with the player since the beginning of the season, and that he is expected to begin training with the rest of the team later this week.
“He (Agwanda) is our first signing of the June transfer window. We had expressed interest in him since June last year but we were unable to get his signature because he was still contracted to Sofapaka. I am glad he is ours now and I know that he will add value to the squad,” Ngala said.
